The breaking story ~ Illinois death row inmate Anthony Porter cleared by eyewitness who names another man as the killer.

The Illinois Supreme Court had delayed Porter's scheduled execution in September 1998 to determine if he was mentally fit to die.  Now they were faced with his actual innocence.

Porter is finally cleared of the double murder conviction that sent him to death row ~ but a decision on other charges is delayed.  Those charges could affect reparations to Porter for all that he has suffered.
